Every community has its own way of living which might appear to be simple but is breathtakingly unique. Such is the case of Koya's and the Kondareddis inhibiting eastern ghats of Andhra Pradesh who have a history of their own. Their habitations dwell deep into the practices of sustainable living which huge dependence on forest resources. The landscape itself presents a gateway to their unique i.e 'aborginal' lifestyle, rituals and livelihood practices. On a larger level, they share a system of clan affinity where the whole community gathers to sustain the house/family of a single co community member. This can be observed in their their marriages, agricutural harvets, building of houses, community fishing/hunting where clan affinity plays a huge role in determining their practices at a community level. these practices indicate a wider belief system and fraternities which are interwoven in their current lifestyle. Once they relocate, all these practices will be lost owing to rehabilitation and relocation. All thanks to the much-awaited and much-contentious Polavaram Project, the survival of approximately 1 lakh people from another 371 villages remains a huge mystery. Koya's and the Kondareddi are now set up suffer a complete blow as a result of submergence. For the project, they are being forced to move from their natural habitat to the congested rooms built by the unsympathetic, arrogant and ignorant government.Keeping aside the debate of pros and cons of building one of the biggest dams at the site of Polavaram Project, can one imagine and estimate the damage done to these tribal’s and mother nature as a whole? Moreover, can anyone evaluate the great injustice served to them by the government by relocating them without following the protocols laid down in our esteemed constitution. No media and no newspaper is coming forward to report the stories of these oppressed and discriminated lives. Yet, we are making this documentary to bring attention to the difficult stories as a consequence of un just discourse with the government. Their rights being snatched - away, and their livelihoods being disrupted the story unfolds to a mass destruction.

We are hoping that we could do some justice to these ignored lives by raising our voice for them where their rights are re-enforced.
